SmartGigging is my little corner of the internet for drummers (and other gigging musicians) who love playing live and want to nail it every time. It’s where I share the tips, tricks, and “wish I’d known that sooner” moments I’ve picked up over the years – so you can spend less time stressing and more time actually enjoying the gig.

I’ve been behind the kit for over 30 years, playing everywhere from sticky-floored pubs to grand theatres, muddy fields to swanky wedding venues. I’ve had nights where everything went perfectly… and nights where I forgot half my gear and learned some very quick problem-solving. The point is, I’ve been there – and I know how to make the whole gigging thing run a lot smoother.
